Crysis 2 is a first-person shooter. The player assumes the role of a Force Recon Marine called Alcatraz. Similar to its predecessor, it provides freedom to customize weaponry and abilities. Crytek wanted to avoid making another game set in a true jungle environment (as were Far Cry and Crysis); New York City has been dubbed an "urban jungle". The urban atmosphere offers new options with relation to progressing and planning attacks. Players are able to navigate between floors and buildings, as well as a destroyed cityscape.
Dungeon Siege III is an action role-playing game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Square Enix. Chris Taylor, the original creator of Dungeon Siege, served as an advisor during the development of the game. It is the third game in the series not to be developed by Gas Powered Games, (after DS: Legends of Aranna by Mad Doc Software and DS: Throne of Agony by SuperVillain Studios) and the first to be published by Square Enix after it acquired the complete ownership of the Dungeon Siege franchise.
Sanctum is a 2011 video game that combines the game styles of tower defence and first person shooter. The game runs on the Unreal 3 engine. Coffee Stain Studios was one of the main contestants in the 'Make Something Unreal Contest' by Epic Games in 2009 with the title Sanctum, at that time unreleased.They were among the top runners in the categories of: "Best FPS-game mod", "Best game mod" and the educational category.
Fable III is the third video game in the Fable series of action role-playing games. It focuses on the player's struggle to overthrow the King of Albion by forming alliances and building support for a revolution. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a 2010 slow-burn survival/horror game with puzzle elements, developed and published by Frictional Games on their custom HPL Engine 2 (Penumbra used HPL1, Amnesia uses 2, Soma uses 3, and Amnesia Rebirth 3.5)
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction is the fifth installment (released in April 2010) in the Splinter Cell series of video games. The game was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, developers of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and the sixth generation versions of Splinter Cell: Double Agent. The game introduces a number of new gameplay features to the series, one of which is the "Mark & Execute" feature, which allows the player to mark specific targets, such as enemies or objects, and shoot them when they burst through a door or window.
