Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues
2D elements shown during rendered cutscenes are stretched. Everything else scales correctly. Aspect ratio is detected automatically or it can be set manually in-game if needed (choice of 4:3, 5:4, 16:9, 16:10).
Desktop resolution is detected on first launch. The in-game resolution setting may not work (Steam version tested). Resolution can also be set manually in the configuration file:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Exodus\Default\display.cfg
(NOTE: this game does not detect the current location of the Documents folder, so this path will always be used)
FOV behaviour is Hor+ by default. The FOV can be customised further by editing variables.cfg:
- Edit C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\My Games\Exodus\Default\variables.cfg.
- Add this line: var cl_fov "120" (change 120 to the FOV you want).
- Save your changes and close the file.
- Make the file read-only (otherwise the change will be reverted when the game exits).
