The patch works very nicely for KOTOR, but there's a small flaw. The FMVs now play in a small window, like a non-anamorphic widescreen DVD. |

The console command "default_fov 110" works for me in Half-Life and TFC, but not in Counterstrike or Day of Defeat. There is a "widescreen" option, but without adjusting the FOV, all it does is something I like to call the "Super 35 effect," which actually makes widescreen a mild disadvantage. |

I believe that many game with widescreen option turn on has the same problem. Really? Maybe it might be a good idea to compile a list of games that have that problem. I'd say it's at least as bad a problem as stretching. I just found out that Half-Life via Steam has this problem too. I really hope ... |

I've found out that selecting a widescreen resolution actually gives you a SMALLER viewing area. Not a single degree of horizontal FOV is gained, and a few degrees of vertical FOV are lost. I can provide screenshots if necessary. |
