Wow, Here is an update. Just as a follow-up, I have had NO luck with the WS setting as I'm sure know one else truly has. If you have, let me know. But also and more severe, I was having issues with my new X850 XT ATI card in some of the maps in BF2. Since then, I have uninstalled the OmegaDrivers I ... |

No doubt. I believe this has been discovered by many others in this forum including myself. My issue now with BF2 now is my ATI X850 XT card. Serious graphic breakups on the 2nd mission especially. ATI has a new Catalyst driver 5.8. May load that in the interim till OmegaDrivers comes in with an upd... |

Ahhh, JustinSane, You are correct sir. Actually, did the research after posting here and found the answer. EA's site lists the problem as a potential HDW incompatibility issue just as you state. No listing for the card so it’s a gamble. He has since purchased the exact card I just installed, ... |

Ok, I got one for all the BF2 followers and players. This is my first stop for a solution. My buddy installed BF2 on his machine. He has a NVIDIA 4800 I believe (the machine is just over 2 years old), which I updated to the latest NVIDIA drivers. The problem is, when the gamelaunches, the monitor cl... |

Gilly, Well, I got my 2405 at http://www.isquaredinc.com for $1000 in the Spring. Now, there around $899 on the website. But being a Brit they may not ship internationally but worth the look nonetheless. I believe that boils down to about £400 on you side of the ocean. On another note, just becau... |

i don’t mean to offend anyone but the people with the WS monitors are generally more wealthy and/or want the best Well Gilly, I more than likely fall in the "of want the best". I figured with my nice tax refund and the fact my CRT was over 5 years old, I should invest once on a good LCD. Dell... |

I will be upgrading my 9800 Pro to the X850 this weekend, then we'll see. Bottom line, all this rhetoric because a... |

Once again, we have to tinker around with an .exe string or edit an .ini or launch file. Why oh why do game MFR's not allow the settings in the game for WS? Half Life 2 should be the example to follow.
Sorry folks, just HAD to vent. |

Were getting famous for sure! CPU magazine has an article by Alex "Sharky" Ross on Widescreen gaming. It's a good reading and Widescreen Gaming Forum gets it's 15min (or in this case - 1 month) of fame for being mentioned! Here is a sample of the article. Enjoy! http://www.computerpoweruser.com/edit... |

TheRealOmegaMan ... did you get it sorted out ? Sorry for the delay PTW...YES, I found the .ini. I must of had a little to much vino since that was the file I edited. I still have the same results though. The .ini file is set to 1680×1050 yet I see no difference in the application. I have not se... |
