So Steam has been added to (or was already on) the vast list of companies that trade in statistical information on customer behaviour, in an attempt to better tweak their products to the customers' wishes, resulting in better sales.
I am stunned.

The software comes with the colorimeter (and is in fact the only difference between models afaik). How many pc's you can use it on depends on the license. It requires online activation these days. It used to be a license for all screens in one home. Don't know if that's changed with the activation s... |

I have a Spider 3 Pro. It will do multiple monitors nicely, but requires the software to be running for that. Windows doesn't like the idea of different profiles per monitor for some reason. When the software overrides, it works perfectly. Don't get an Express version - those don't support multiple ... |

Problem sounds familiar. Haven't had it anymore I think since a certain driver update. Running 10.10 atm. Yes, I'm too lazy to update, even with Steam's easy stuff  |

- The most useless shortcut key: Calculator (icon: like its namesake). How often do people use the built-in calculator anyway?
Quite a lot actually, especially at work. Having that button over yonder would be nice. |

Since I already have the complete series until now, and the X series games are indeed very good, I might be tempted to get this one. However, it all does depend on life's proceedings. |

That list brings back some memories... wow, nicely done. Includes plenty of titles I've had throughout my gaming career. Although of course I'd opt for the entire X-series to be there, at least you got Terran Conflict :P Oni I have as well. Awesome game. I just loved the throw move from behind (inst... |

Oh don't you worry about $60 games. Out here those games are €60. Which at the current rates translates to $81.69.
€50 ($68) has been normal for years until recently. |

Running fullscreen DirectX 9 applications/games after enabling Aero effects and rebooting no longer causes the system to randomly stop responding Hmmm... perhaps that's what's been glitching me lately. I think I'd better update. Even though I'm still on 10.9  Edit: gah, did it through Steam an... |

Quick Boot is enabled by default, X-W.
If it was, I'll have turned it off when I had issues at first (due to defective memory). No biggie though, I just 'might' look into it at some point, but it won't be anytime soon probably ;) |

To be computer boot up is extremely important, which is why Win7 is on the SSD. I calculated ut todaydeom reseting(push the rest button) to desktop or rook me 30 seconds. Is that fast enough by SSD standards? Mine does it in 40 seconds. About 30 of those are taken by the POST I believe, and therefo... |

Instead of paying an impressive amount of money for my SSD and then worrying about the lifespan, I chose to actually enjoy using the thing. Sometimes I get the impression that people think SSD's are great, but shout 'Don't use it, or it'll break!' Windows on the SSD, games on the SSD. Raw data on an... |

16:9 is horrible. Producers should stop pretending a computer is a TV. It works for TVs. PC's have this extra 'taskbar' thingy at the bottom, so it takes a few extra pixels. And plenty of other bars that require some space for that matter. Also, a 1920x1080 display, which is sold horribly often thes... |

Good point on the language. Quality games don't need bad language to make their point. Plus it's a lot more fun to pack things in overly proper words ;) |

Stupid? Is it really? Why would you think that? Because you know of GoG and have even purchased things there before. Imho. But 'you' in this statement probably means about 1% of the gaming community. 1% will be angry. 50% out of the other 99% will hear of GoG for the first time, some of them will no... |

Sounds like a noble cause. I'm still sceptic though - it's money that rules the market. Consoles and simplistic games = money. That's why there's so many of them. A niche market can provide enough income, but you'll have to grab a large percentage of it, i.e. the game must be really good. Alas, I ca... |

I'm curious to know how that radeon driver install goes via Steam when it comes to a custom install. Does the Steam installer allow you the option to choose custom over express? Updates through Steam, now there's an intriguing thing. I've decided to give this option a shot and just updated my rather outdated graphics drivers through Steam (was on 10.2 I think). Seems to have gone great, although I haven't run any games yet. My only issue is that it failed to mention the req... |
