Nope, I've been playing plenty of ET with widescreen FOV, didn't stop me (at least not on that server, and PB was on). |

I'd call this proper support, mainly because of the zooming ability. It simply doesn't matter whether it cuts off the top and bottom or not. Secondly, you get more room for your menus. Developers are worried that increased FOV for widescreen users may be considered cheating, yet they want to support... |

The idea is quite nice indeed. This would also enable us to see when an approved game supports widescreen before we buy it. But (there's always a but): The cost of such a project, although I have no experience in such things, would be quite large I imagine. Since Ibrin seems to have trouble enough b... |

Inability to save is pretty common in demo versions of games afaik, I don't think you should worry too much. Same for the blue screen: the demo may run, but it's often not quite finished. Otherwise there's probably a way to solve it either on your system, or through a patch. I'd say it's worth the r... |

Yep, found out earlier - TA and TA:Kingdoms simply support all available desktop resolutions. Wouldn't it just be simpler to program to make games do that ? At least when they're 3D. Artificial limits to the resolution options is so... stupid. Sure, there are things you just can't do like that, e.g.... |

Enemy Territory with PunkBuster gives me no problems (yet), while I do have extra FOV. Didn't have to change the fov setting though - it just did it right on changing the resolution. |
