I don't believe I really have anything to say this year. To read my usual rant about lack of widescreen support, please refer to topics NHL 07 ---> NHL 200 BC |

your running Tiger Woods 07 with a 6600GT @ 1920x1200? your fps must be low It's not bad. I notice the fps is lower on some courses and not so bad on others that aren't as demanding graphically. But it is still VERY playable and I don't get that frustrated feeling that it's running at 15fps or somet... |

Good Luck!
Oh and Thanks Gabbo!
It's too bad people are having trouble with the UniWS patcher...seems like it would be the easiest solution |

You're quite welcome! Glad it worked for ya too! ya the menu can't seem to be changed using this method, but at least you can still see all the options. I was running it at 1920x1200 for a while too and it looked amazing, but my Prescott 3.4ghtz/6600GT setup starts to lag at those types of resolutio... |

A very good point Ati75.
I've been using the hex editor on Tiger since 2005 and I knew the Universal patcher worked on 2004. Guess I never bothered to try it with the newer ones. |

Oompa, you don't have to put it in a longer format. Take a look at my previous posts in this topic. All you need to do is take the 8007 and replace the 0005 and take the B004 and replace the 0004. The extra numbers are there simply to help you find the correct location using the search method that w... |

oompa, make sure that your search is looking for hexidecimal values and not text. Also some hex editors want you to search without spaces. The one I use won't let me conduct the search without removing the spaces from my search string first. Other than that I can't imagine why your hex editor cannot... |

No prob bcham! In the Tiger Woods 2006 example it shows converting this line 02 00 05 00 00 C7 00 00 04 00 00 C3 8B 4C 24 08 8B and overwrite it with this in order to support 1680 x 1050: 02 90 06 00 00 C7 00 1A 04 00 00 C3 8B 4C 24 08 8B So to support the 1440 x 900 res that you're looking for you ... |

I posted above that the solution for the previous Tiger Woods games works for 2007. All you need is a hex editor program and the description of the previous hacks. Do a search on this site for Tiger Woods 2006. The solution for it converts the 1280 x 1024 setting in the game to 1680 x 1050 but you c... |

Yep, the same hack for 2006/2005 works for the new one. Do a search on this forum for the solution to the previous game and apply it to 2007 edition.
You need a hex editor to modify the dxwrap.dll file again. |

This is just sickening. EA is teasing us. Something I noticed tonight is that the main menu in NHL 07 will run perfectly in 720P centred and all on my big screen. As soon as I go into the actual game tho, oh no that's not allowed. It has to be a 1080i 4:3 resolution. And to beat it's worse than NHL0... |

NHL Seems to be the only EA game that cannot be hacked to run widescreen. Tiger Woods, MVP Baseball (which we're lacking for the last 2 years), and Fifa all seem to be hacked within weeks of its release. Hopefully somebody can jump in this year and finally find a way to get our widescreen rez's. |

Well this is just a load of bunk....the other versions of Underground supported widerscreen ( via hack, I know....) So how could EA just dismiss the thought of widescreen for Most Wanted, almost as if it were just a casual request? It's not like Underground had any special differences. Most Wanted ... |

Lovely! Well then at least get rid of that useless copy protection so we can hack it for widescreen support! Let's see, Widescreen TV's are here and in mass production. Widescreen LCD PC monitors are on the up and coming. Obviously EA Sports has no direction, well, they don't know how to move forwar... |

Still nothing! I'm so annoyed. The closest i've come is a hex location in the main EXE file that resizes the textures and images to whatever resolution I set it to. Unfortunately, this doesn't change the physical resolution on the screen. At this same location, which is near the beginning of the fil... |

I'm outputting the game to my widescreen rear projection TV via DVI cable. When I put the game in 1280x1024 it is displayed as a normal 4:3 with the bars on the left and right. Any other resolution and I get a very small screen that just looks sad and pathetic. I have still had no luck. They really ... |

ok...i've definitely found the location in the EXE file where the resolutions are set. But if I try to change any of them (ie 1600x1200 to 1680x1050) I either don't get the 1600x1200 or the 1680x1050 in the list of choices, or the game crashes when it tries to go into the game. Being a beginner at t... |

Ok, I took a look into the main NHL06.exe file and fiddled with it and a hex editor. Interestingly enough, I found only one occurence of 800x600 and when I tried to edit that it changed nothing in the game. I tried several different resolutions. I did, however, find 30 locations for 1280x1024 and I ... |
