Thanks for your help guys. I'll give it a try. If you notice in my profile, I have the 8800 GTX card, overclocked to (practically) max values. That's the card which drives the 30 incher. The other card, drives the two side monitors. I still have a third PCIe slot, in which I wanted to add another vi...

From what I've been reading, most (if not all) multi-monitor, or "surround" displays center around ONE video card and a 2 or 3 way splitter, that converts a single stretched video feed to 2 or 3 monitors. Consider this. I have a single PC rig with two video cards, driving three monitors. A 30" in th...

At this point, would you even believe me? So I've been called a retard when I had no hard facts, that I failed when I provided facts, and now an ass. Watch me provide benchmarks and be called a liar. No win scenario. Rest assured, I'll benchmark a few games, 32 and 64 bit. FarCry, HL2, EP1, EP2, Los...

Naw, I was being facetious. Mine skipped over yours. Besides, I already know the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. And, I wasn't a big fan of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Shouldn't someone just close this thread? I could always delete it..

You're not helping yourself here. Anyway, I'm off to sleep and ponder the number 42. I'm not helping myself because I'm right? Or because I'm retarded? Or because I fail? I had you pegged in the teens, not 42. Well, old men need to play games too (I just didn't think they were the computer kind). A...

As for 4 GB of ram, yes, the MB has overhead that snatches away a few megabytes here or there.

Try to run a 32 bit OS on 8 gigs of memory..

Heh, no offense, but HP gains from CAI boxes are DYNO'd and have written proof. Not only 15 HP. I've seen upwards of 30.

Now take your foot out of your mouth.

How much? I just had a friend install Vista x64, just to try it out, and he said it was faster than his 32 bit version. He loved it. There are a couple of important programs that do not work in Vista 64. One of them being the Cisco VPN client. Another, 64 bit Flash. You have to use the 32 bit ...

And umm, actually, since you're not aware of this, every game that natively supports 64 actually adds new visual features to make the game look better. And here's a FarCry benchmark that clearly shows the 64 bit version outpacing and outshining its 32 bit brother. http://www.anandtech.com/printartic...

I'd love to play this biatch again.. And I'd buy the Battle Chest, would I know that it works with Vista x64. Perhaps I'll run it in a vitrual XP Pro 32?

The article was written about testing the demo, not the final product. Also, there could have been a memory performance issue (I didn't notice them saying they used hi-perf ram). And although I can't back my findings with real FPS, I can see that it's running faster and smoother. Oh, and I am using ...

Just go to the Video directory found at EACrytekCrysisGameLocalizedVideo and rename all the files ending with .sfd except the one that's called bg.sfd, which is the background for the main menu. I always just put (-) after the file name and before the suffix (.sfd) to designate that I've disabled i...

See, those are more realistic ratings. Although I have not played Jericho, your assessment seems to reflect general consensus. But a few bugs and stupid AI make Crysis deserve 1/10? I'm trying to be realistic here.. My best analogy would be to IMDB a movie like Shawshank Redemption, and you'll see i...

Thanks for the insults. They weren't meant as such. You apparently are of the type of people who also give Halo 3 a 10/10 when it also deserved a lower rating. I'm sorry, where in my post is that apparent? I do not own a 360, nor have I played H3. After that chick's dad gets frozen, there's a bunch...

No one seems to have been annoyed by the fact that the aliens were straight out of The Matrix, ie. the sentinels? This sucked for me. The cliffhanger was inevitable. Once you create visually the most stunning game in history, especially one that cripples the fastest systems in highest resolutions an...

Checking in.. Just got my Cold Cathode 30 incher. WOW! I was going to order the 27" (as my friend got one, and I was amazed by, not only the high output of the display, but also the brushed alum. finish and piano-black base), but I opted for the 30 behemoth. Glad I went all thirty inches. Lotsa scre...
