Monitor scaling overrides card scaling.
So don't use monitor scaling. If the card scaling is working right, it should be outputting this directly to the monitor:
And the monitor's "full screen stretch" mode won't do anything at all. |

The thing is that Consoles are basically PC's now, the graphics and gameplay of games can be pretty close to each other. No... they can't. The controller alone does lots to restrict the gameplay of consoles. It's been 16 years, and you still can't do a proper X-Com game on consoles. Consoles are poo... |

PC gamers have pretty much always had that attitude. It didn't stop developers from focusing on the PC and making some of the greatest games of all time, back around ten years ago. And I hardly ever see that said about old games, though I wish I did. I mean, old games have to be practically given aw... |

I just updated it, and tested it out with the latest version. Try it now. |

With each console generation, I wonder why publishers get more hostile toward the PC
More than a couple have explicitly blamed PC piracy for hurting their overall profits. And frankly, it's the only explanation I've heard that makes sense. |

If we accept that they're trying to stop people from earning achievements unfairly, then some kind of punishment is necessary. Cheat detection can't work 100% of the time, so it needs to do something worse than just negate the payoff to discourage cheating. That said, worrying about singleplayer che... |

I'm certain that Quake 2's lack of music is because they were too lazy to convert it to ogg/mp3, not because of rights. The original used redbook audio, which isn't digital distribution friendly. Every single Id game that doesn't use redbook audio, including Quake III, comes with all the music. And ... |

I find it simultaneously amusing and frustrating that they can change the resolution from 640x480 to 1280x720, call it an "HD remaster," and sell it a second time, when you can do that with any PC game made since Quake II for free. I did hear that they are going to "touch up" the textures, but who k... |

List of widescreen resolutions that were not tested: 1280 x 720 etc. Please list them all next time. The idea of this list is to provide a "TBD" so that other people can see what needs to be tested quite clearly. Anyway, I confirm support for all these resolutions: 1280x720 1280x768 1280x800 1440x90... |

Could you make a new solution and DR thread? It's better if the de facto DR starts with the best solution and doesn't have a discussion about the old one. |

Typo, or did I miss an alternate telling of the famous tale? Not a typo. I'm not mad, just perplexed and feeling uncomfortable in the presence of attention whores. I understand the feeling and sympathize, but nevertheless, I am 100% confident that everything I've ever bought from them, and what I wi... |

Hypothetically, suppose they re-brand and re-launch the service, and the new service is as good or better than the old one (and still has no DRM). That's probably the best possible outcome. Should this happen, I'm still going to think this was a dick move (I really don't see any excuse for pulling t... |

Of course you already own most of your own favorites. That's kind of expected. GOG let you get games you missed out on the first time around, and they offered plenty of all time classics that I'd immediately recommend over pretty much anything released recently. I could easily name 30 examples. In f... |

I started as a soldier, got to a fork, went right, got insta-killed by a red eye knight. Back to the fork, went left, killed by a blue eye knight. I had no trouble with the blue eye knights at all. Just the red eye knight and the invisible deathtraps. This game makes the deaths avoidable through kno... |
