Tachyon at high res would be really impressive. It's hard enough to get my joystick set up the way I like in the game, but besides that, it was as great as Freespace. Though Freespace has a far better engine and joystick configuration. Just overall technically better. If only all games were like that. |

Might be a pipe dream but I share it with you, the original Ground Control fills several holes in my heart that World in Conflict can't. Too bad the skill required to edit engines like people have done with the Dark Engine and the Infinity engine is so rare. Still in awe over those feats, really. |

I took them on Sunday but haven't converted them to .jpg/hosted them online yet. Wasn't happy that people were moving in my scope's view, was going to retake those when I had a chance. Edit: Was just going through my bookmarks and noticed that a game I play perfectly in widescreen 6 hours a week sti... |

I used to think I hated RTS games, but then Company of Heroes came along and reinvigorated my interest in the genre. I must have still been high on CoH when i went to go buy SupCom. Now SupCom is reminding me why I hated RTS's. I want to try CnC3, but I am scared that I will regret it. CoH isn't re... |

I just searched for it a few days ago when I (re)installed the game. Although it's via GameTap this time so editing anything in it is impossible, I'm playing at 1280x1024 for no other reason than it's the highest res I can get on this 1680x1050 monitor. Can't even choose 1280x960 or 1152x864 to get ... |

Yeah I get the feeling this game was optimized for the DX10 setup, as the benchmarks I've seen show 30-90 FPS with the 8800GTX in DX10 mode, either that or Nvidia's Vista driver optimizations need to trickle down to the XP drivers to get the best performance out of the game. Haven't tried it myself ... |

For me it will only run at 640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768 :)
Bummer! I figured if anyone could work the widescreen magic with the Dark Engine it would be you. Fortunately the games are good enough that I don't mind playing upscaled 1024x768. About time for a Thief 2 replay, come to think of it. |

Should the Master Games List be updated to reflect that patch 2.0 adds Stretch widescreen support? I held off buying this game a couple weeks ago since I thought it had no widescreen support. Now that I know it does it I feel like picking it up while waiting for STALKER's own 2.0 ;) Although I keep ... |

Ugh, this is not what I was hoping to hear in regard to this game. Especially since awareness is key to survival, chopping both vertical and horizontal... was about to preorder it from GoGamer too. Dang it.
Hopefully someone finds a solution to this, and soon. |

[quote]I've made a patch: http://www.squ1zzy.nl/games/Kotor2.htm I had to reinstall after using this patcher. :( Reinstall the game? What happened? Please provide details so that if there are bugs then Squizzy could fix them. I intend on using this patcher, but first I need to play and finish KotOR1. |

according to PC gamer ETQW will be released during summer
Latest issue of GFW has a preview that agrees with that Summer release date. With some luck that beta demo will get here much earlier. |

You're right, it's a bit confusingly worded. From the Games database it seems like he means Command Line, not Command Prompt. Ripping off the Colin McRae Rally 2005 Multiplayer demo readme from this url To run the game with one of the options below, right-click on the desktop shortcut to the game, a... |

Looks ok to me, I'll be trying the demo for this in a short while so I'll be able to gauge it. An easy test is to bump the res to a lower 4:3 ratio, then flip back and forth through your screenshots. Then you'll know for sure. |

Here are some great ET:QW movies which explain how the game works: Made the mistake of watching those again this week. Now, older Nvidia cards had scaling built in, but a few on this board have said their 7900s do not offer it. That's strange. My 7900 offers the same 4 options for handling widescreen that my 6800 did. Although I only use the option that stretches while preserving the aspect ratio, so the other mode... |
