Wow! I might have upgrade my living room TV earlier than I thought! Was holding out for QHD but this will work!

Seamless near Triple wide and Cinema HD is a big win for gaming and movie buffs like me!

Those DLP screens are pretty cool but for some reason, the resolutions are funky to me 2x 1440x900? Why not 2x 1920x1200 or 1600x1200 for a little more vertical resolution? Hacking off the bezel with a few MM is acceptable to me. I wish we had more data about LCD panels with bezels off to determine ...

Actually, I should take that back about waiting for QHD.

If I can find a way to REMOVE the bezel from 3 LCDs and make it near seamless, then I would probably jump all over TH2G right away.

Someone was working on such a project here last year, but the updates stopped so....

Great writeup but I echo the Quad Core vs Dual Core request to see if it really is the new platform or extra core that is giving the increases. Also, you should overclock the CPU a bit to see how much further improvement can be realized, especially at the higher resolutions. Looking forward to any u...

I'm in a similar situation as you Vicious with a BenQ 37" 1080p LCD TV for a monitor ~ arms lenght from eyeball to screen. My wife loves the TV (VGA input from her computer) to review digital photos, and like you, this TV is in our bedroom, foot of the bed so we can watch movies together all snug as...

Ghimpi,

Great idea but you can do it much cheaper with PVC tubing found at hardware stores.

Cheap, Super light, easy to cut and shape, and lots of angle joints for you to get it right.

Do show us your creation if you make it!

I've been using my 37" 1080p HDTV for the pass 6 months as my primary screen. Resolution wise, you don't lose that much. It is so much more immersive in FPS where the onscreen guns looks about life size!!! And playing RTS as if you're playing with action figures! Only thing I would trade the 37" for...

Paddy,

Would the mutator work in other UE 3.0 games such as Gears of War or Frontline?

This is great new for WS and SS (surround screen) users.

Hi All, Last year I purchased a 37" BenQ 1080p TV/Monitor as my new monitor replacement due to a super deal and thus by passing triple head gaming. Seems I'm going to give up the monitor to the bedroom so I need a replacement. I was look at the 2K and 4K digital cinema spec and while impressive, are...

Paddy,

Do you mind giving us some FPS numbers in triple head? Both at max and min graphics? I just ordered a 8800 640 GTS and wonder if that will be enough.

Looks great to me! Can't want for UT3 and Crysis by the end of the year!

They should just port Forza 2 to the PC instead!

Much easier to setup multihead than on the Xbox 360 but it is cheaper to by 3-4 360s versus a reasonable SLI or Xfire setup + TH2GO.

If I was a marketing or product manager at Matrox, I would be giving away a lot of TH2G to developers and working with them to build up support in their games for this item. Smells of lost opportunity here if its not already happening. I remember working with Nvidia in a previous life and they gave ...

Can you test the monitors before buying? If not, read the reviews and try to stick with the one with the fastest response time for gaming.

I personally prefer quality over speed but most NEW FAST LCD (4 ms response and faster TN panels) have improved lately with more and better colors.

The distortion is from each of your monitor's scaling from 1280x1024 res to its native screen size/res. It is stretching the image across 1680 pixels wide, even though you had set it to 1280 width for the TH2G. If the LCD monitor has 2 inputs, you can attached two cables to each monitor: 1 cable fro...

Thanks for input everyone. If I go multimon with 2x or a 2x2, I would attempt to remove the bezels. There is no way I would leave it on for long. And yes, prices for 19,20 and even 22" 4:3 or 16:10/9 screens are actually quiet affordable now when compared to a Dell 30" 3007-HC monitor. I was only th...

Ghimpy, So an 8800 GTS or GTX would only support SLI output on one of the dual linked dvi ports. Thus in a 2x2 matrix, one "pair" of monitors would go out and not be in use when SLI is enabled for a game, correct? If this is the case ,its too bad as I've seen games for Windows such as FSX or Dungeon...

Hi All, Thanks for the welcome! Paddy: I read through that thread and it seems there are others like me who are in the same bind. Just for reference, I went window shopping yesterday to compare prices locally: I can pickup 2 or more TN/MVA 6-bit panels at 20" - 22" x 1600x1050 (16:10) for less than ...

Hi Ghimpi, Thanks for the idea. I had looked into a few projectors before (one of my friends has one) but almost all were shown shot against a wall. The colors were "washed out" in that aspect which didn't impress me color fidelity wise. This was the main reason for looking at larger LCD or multi pa...

Hi All, I'm new here but mostly have been a lurker absorbing all the information in this forum between the pros and cons of widescreen and surround gaming. My 4:3 LCD recently went out and I'm looking at a replacement unit sooner than I had planned. My original plans were to save up for a WS LCD TV ...
