Roger that. :rockout It is now out. Bought it from *shudder* BB about 2 hours ago. Game set up recognized 5040x1050 as me desktop res, and thus was already sitting in the options. However, once in game, the FOV is WAAAAAAYYYY too small. Gotta feeling the fix to this may be identical to the Dragon's ... |

OK, let me lay the background here. Start about two weeks ago. I saw that the Matrox W7 drivers were out, and because the L4D2 demo spat out a pop-up at me letting me know that my then-current config of Vista 64 & Nvidia driver 182.50 weren't going to cut it, I decided to do a fresh install of the f... |

Scav, apologies if I do indeed end up adding to the confusion. It is not my intent. And I agree with your point on the myriad variables. As a former F/A-18 Hornet maintainer, I understand the variables all too well, heh. Currently I dual boot XP 32 and 7 64. I was dual booting XP and Vista 64... |

[quote] Man, this is really beginning to get to me. If you ignore the GXM utility and just right click on the desktop, select Screen Resolution, can you choose 5040x1050 from the inbuilt Windows resolution screen? I found I couldn't get it in the Matrox PowerDesk but rather on the desktop and then ... |

W7 64 bit (as of an hour ago) 3 x Dell 2208WFP's 3 x GTX285 GXM 2.06 Firmware 2.3.4.t6.56 Nvidia driver: 191.07 It refuses to work. GXM will not install the 5040 modes. I get the dreaded red X. But here's what strange: The GXM UI has changed for W7 dramatically. Takes a bit of getting used to, but i... |

Doesn't matter which GXM/PWRDSK I use, it won't recognize the custom res 5040 made with the Nvidia CPL. The Vista "beta", intervening non-beta Vista versions, even the new W7, none works with 191.07. What's more, because the GXM won't recognize it, it doesn't get reported to windows, therefore none ... |

Well, since the new W7 Powerdesk has hit, I decided to try the very latest Nvidia drivers and use the settings suggested in the link in my post above... Whaddya know, it worked (55Hz) . Created the custom res in the Nvidia Control Panel (NCPL) and it stuck, first try :D . Nvidia drivers 191.0... |

Dope, this may have been asked and answered elsewhere, and if so I apologize buddy, but I was wondering if your Fixer is OS agnostic. Reason I ask is because it looks like there will never be another Powerdesk put out by Matrox that is Vista compatible, other than the almighty "beta" of some, I don'... |

...on when NVidia is going to get off their collective rear end and produce a new driver that works for us TH2Go owners. I'm not one to rock the boat, because if it's stupid and it works, it's not stupid, but 182.50 is getting pretty damn long in the tooth. What's amazing to me is that running multi... |

Good to go. I will be looking for it.
Both of the 2 gb cards better have 1 gb's worth of bandwidth, or it's a total waste. 2 gb's of vram with a 512 bus is probably the very definition of not so smart. |

You can see my reviews of the GTX 295, and some Ergotron reviews. I have 3x Dell 2208 (the silver one) on a DS100 arm. Outstanding. Was a bit worried about frames, and all the reviews I've read about 295's say that they get seriously vram/memory bottlenecked at the higher resolutions and quality settings. I hear you on the stand. Goodonya. I would be more prone to use a setup like yours, but I have an executive styl... |
