Yeah, it might well be TOO old to play. Barring multiplayer games whose community has moved on, and games that rely entirely on novelty appeal, there's no such thing as a game that's too old to play. The graphics of any given game are EXACTLY the same today as they were originally. Sometimes better...

So I recently started with this game. I've been playing quite alot already. I think i'm pretty far along in the story (i've got the support of all the army's, except the dwarves, im on my way there) But i noticed something odd. My character is stuck in a weird stance all the time. When in neutral, h...

Hmm, I never got a single one of those "Payment failed" screens (in the six times I bought games since the Xmas sale started).

I never had it before either, but also for me it was while trying to buy mass effect.

Trials downloaded in 54 seconds for me. Just awesome. While ingame @ trials it has alot of 'server connection' errors. Result is that i need to wait some minutes before i can acces a new track after i've completen another. Do you also have this problem? It's seriously anoying... /edit: I've looked ...

It went through eventually. Still, I was kind of worried it might have registered the purchases and since I tried several times, would have payed for the game like 5 times. But it seems I only payed once ;p. Mass Effect started @ 100kb/s but @ 12% or something it went up to 1.1mb/s. So not too bad. ...

I'm having trouble buying games through steam atm. It gives me an error message @ the screen where you select payment option... It's kind of frustrating... Anyone else experiencing this?

I know this is old. But I was wondering if it was possible to set resolution. I want it to be 1920x1080. Can't get it to work though. Tried looking through the MP2_init.ras but can't find anything of help. I already changed the FOV in there, but i'd still like to be able to play at my own resolution...

Well, the mod with the installer.exe works on steam. Now all i need to do is look through the install folder and work my way back to find out what i did wrong before. (i also tried the MOD, started a new game, but everything looks different :S... Not sure if i like it though).

I got a bit further this time. I extracted all the gamedata files into a gamedata folder (which i had to create myself). Then i could copy/paste the mod files into that folder, and i needed to change a fsgame.ltx file. I tried it, but the game crashed. So i deleted the altered files and made steam r...

Hmm, considering your input i might try vanilla... Still, it would be good to know if it is possible to get mods to work in the steam version. I can't get it to work. There is a 'mods' map in my install folder, but the rest of the map structure seems different from what it's supposed to be according...

So i bought this game. But can't really enjoy the gunplay (too inaccurate..). So i found a mod (several, but i wanted to stick with just one @ first), but i have no idea how to install it. Can't seem to make out the readme that is provided. It talks of a map structure that i can not find in my insta...

So i just bought this game in store (along with the other 3, was planning to finish them in order). Dropped in the disk, installed fine, and tried running it. At first it didn't work. By default it had selected RenderD3D.dll which for some reason didn't work, so i changed that to openGL in the ini f...

So I saw this was available on steam. I was going to buy it, but below it says 'windows 2000/XP (only)'. Since i'm using windows 7 x64 I'm thinking this might be a problem. Has anyone tried this on a newer setup? Also, is it playable in 1920*1080?

Regards,

Erik

I'll probably buy it when there is a good sale @ steam. Did the same with the first one, and i occasionally still enjoy playing that one.

I too like it for the cheap games. Weekenddeals are great. At first i only used it to play HL2 and CSS (which i bought in a store, not through Steam). But now i see myself buying more and more games through steam. Although i still don't buy my new games there. It's quite pricy. Modern Warfare 2 is €...
