2 of these... (using the same site you linked to) DVI -> mini ACTIVE displayport dongle http://www.accellcables.com/products/DisplayPort/DP/mdp_dvi_sl_active.htm And then get three DVI-HDMI cables (they are pin compatible), or you can use the HDMI port on the 69x0 to hook up to the 3rd TV. Make 100%... |

Everything out there has flight characteristics of some sort that are undesirable. They're not an arcade video game.
Since I'll never actually "pilot" anything heavier than an ultralight, I'll just pretend it's in arcade mode :P |

It all depends on how versatile "DCS A10" is at eyefinity. If you really want proper crossfire acceleration with minimal fuss, I would say go find a friend, "borrow" their video card and see how the game works. I don't know exactly how the 4th and 5th HUD screens would work, are they seperate window... |

What, only one spare fuselage? Good thing your Thunderstreak apparently already crashed in your backyard, cuz it had a tendency to not be very good :P Like the Thunderjet, the Thunderstreak excelled at cruise and had predictable handling characteristics within its performance envelope. Like its pred... |

Maybe just a cheapo 3rd video card at this point would be the best option?
Them crazy flightsim guys, they'll never be happy :P |

I figured that 6970's would come with a MiniDP->DP dongle adapter thingy. If you are dealing with DP only, there is no need for active or passive. AFAIK they are pin for pin compatible with regular DP cables http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_DisplayPort, so what you would need is either male-to-male... |

Guess I'll just have to see what the 6990 brings to the table. There just isn't enough performance from a 6970 IMO over a 5870 (with the games I play) to warrant me selling it for next to nothing to be able to upgrade. If my local shop was able to price match sites like Newegg then I'd buy, but the ... |

Can't wait for WSGF to review the 6970! I see from other benchies it scales a lot better at 2560x1600 resolution while gaming. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) there is a serious lack of Eyefinity reviews on day 1 of release. Basically this is how I'm going to judge wether (or when) to upgrade from a... |

My eyefinity experience has been exactly as I expected (good!), except for these 2 issues: 1) The total lack of useful working DP->DVI cables at launch. It only took 10 months for Single-Link Active adapters with a good pricetag (< 30$) to appear on the market. 2) The ineffiency (or total brokeness)... |

MLAA totally kills the FPS in WoW (60fps down to 15fps). It looks exactly the same as when I tried the little driver hackery with the original 10.10's. |

Once you start propping up the AA in 5760x1200 in newer games like F1 2010 and 2033 yer FPS are going to tank. |

Here's hoping the 6970 comes with 2GB vram standard. It's probably going to be the only real working solution (if it works at all). |

MLAA still works well and is not gone. Only the amd MLAA tool (used to put MLAA on screenshots) are gone. :)
I'm trying to be overly dramatic! |

That's where all me posts went! Well that answers why the "AA-who-must-not-be-named" didn't work as well as it should have, if it existed in the first place. |

Check our review in the sticky and you get both Eyefinity and Eye+Xfire. :) MLAA's effect is very game dependent and a mixed box, but it can give amazing results vs. the performance hit. Check out the images here vs. 4XAA and especially pay attention to wires on bottom left: http://www.pcgameshardw... |

The Radeon HD 6900s - now those will be a lot of fun...
Correctamundo!
With the 6870/50 reaching a near 180% or better in each case for Xfire, I'm praying that the default 6970 has 2GB of memory (or at least are available at launch day), and that they come with miniDP->DP dongle(s). |
