Is it this cutscene hacks that don't work with the Steam and/or latest patch version, or UniWS, or both? Is there a reason that one or both cannot work with the Steam version other than that they haven't been updated to do so? I'd rather sacrifice widescreen support than roll back to an older versio... |

Using Widescreen Fixer 3.4 r662 with the "v1.05 - Revamp Edition" plugin (2.4 r660), it seems to be able to detect that the game is running but not what the current FOV is. As a result, enabling the fix sets the FOV to be really, really high no matter what the settings are. I guess that m... |

The summary article at http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/fallout-3 says the following about FOV: fDefaultFOV=75.0000 You will need to change this fov value based on your aspect ratio. These values use the 5:4 aspect ratio as a baseline fov. 4:3 - 79.9000 16:9 - 105.3000 15:9 - 99.0000 16:10 - 95.2... |

This is another game that insists on overriding the video card's hardware LUT, replacing any gamma calibration profiles that you may want to use with the game. It appears that the best workaround is to shift+double-click dxhr.exe to launch the game in a maximized, borderless window. This disables th... |

Good news on the gamma issue: I started poking around the game's DLLs with a hex editor, looking for "gdi32" and "gamma", and I found that there's an undocumented way to disable the game's use of hardware gamma ramp override: 1. Select Start->Run and then type in the following and hit OK or Enter: %... |

As I said, it's nothing inherent to the laptop itself, as it runs stock Morrowind just fine. It's a gaming laptop that runs games like Fallout 3, Half-Life 2 and even other CPU-bound titles like World of Warcraft (when I still played it over a year ago) decently. There's just something about Morrowi... |

Got the Steam version of this a while back and decided to load it on my Dell XPS M1730 laptop (Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, nVidia 8700M GT SLI, Vista 32-bit). As recommended by the confirmed solution thread on this site, I installed Morrowind FPS Optimizer right off the bat to set the resolution to 1... |

This game seems to continuously override my gamma/LUT settings that I have another program set to enforce. The result is that the game flickers constantly while trying to switch back and forth between the two gamma ramps. I wish there was some way to tell the game not to touch the LUT because the on... |

So I noticed that with the HQ movies pack installed, the movies look terrible (didn't try the game before installing them to compare). According to Bink the HQ movies are 1600x680, but according to my monitor the game is still trying to play them at 640x480. I tried the Step Two widescreen movies ha... |

I just ran UniWS and followed the INI editing instructions and the game runs in 1280x960 instead of my chosen resolution of 1920x1200. I tried exiting out and re-opening the kotor2.ini but it still says width=1920 height=1200 so I don't see what I could be doing wrong. I skipped the Step Two in the ... |

So I'm playing KotOR on my new system (Lynnfield Core i7, ATI Radeon HD5870). I applied the GCW noCD and then carefully applied the WSGF hacks via the Wiki. The game now runs pretty good at 1920x1200 (the right side of the screen fades at a different rate than the rest during fade-ins/outs, but that... |
