| Hi everyone , I'm new here and look forward to the WSGF community . I have dual sli 480's and play BFBC2 in surround . Im purchasing a 3rd card to tri sli and have 1 monitor for 1 GPU . | This happens because the vsync (even if you force it on in CCC) doesn't lock at 60hz but at 120hz! I've tried 2x5870s in the past and run like crap in crossfinity mode. The only solution for me was to sold them and get 2x580s in sli in which the vsync locks at 60hz FINALLY and every game runs super ... |

If ATI doesn't fix the vsync to lock at 60hz, there will always be stuttering in cf.
Single cards don't have stuttering in ef so a single 6970 will be just fine. |

I have seen in my own eyes in two different setups, all running i7s and 5970s. The same issue.
Maybe you mean that many people don't see it because the played games in consoles at 40fps and have never experienced gaming at 60fps. |

With 2x5870s most games suck. stuttering everywhere.
Sorry but I can't see how tri/quadfire will work... Maybe 2x470/480 fix the stuttering. |

DON'T CF dude!!!!
I have 2x5870s and have huge stuttering problem. As far as I know a lot of other users have the same issue.
Just get a single 5870 or wait the 5870 ef edition. |
