You need to also take into account the weight. The Asus 27" ve278q monitors weighs 14.33 pounds according to this link: http://www.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VE278Q/#specifications If you mount 5 that will be a combined weight of 71.65 pounds. I don't know if that's safe considering the bar is on...

Try running a benchmark (ex. 3dmark 2011) and comparing it to similar systems. With a i7-2600k at 4.5 ghz and 2 flashed 6950's (stock clocks) I think I get around 30-50 fps on BF3 all medium at 6008x1080. These are just rough estimates. It depends on the map, amount of smoke, and where I'm looking e...

Before buying the new monitors you should first double check to make sure that the sync polarities match up. Nvidia states that the sync polarity for all monitors must be the same. The sync polarity for your existing Dell U2711H can be found here: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/MONITORS/U2711...

What multi-monitor technology are you going to be using? From my understanding it will default to the highest supported resolution. Both Eyefinity and Nvidia Surround require the displays to be running at the same resolution. This requirement does not apply to SoftTH IIRC. This means your 27" monito...

Thank you daveatx and dibadiba for posting those pictures. The menus do look pretty bad. I'll hold off on purchasing it until the menus get fixed by either Bethesda or some developers on WSGF. Hopefully HaYDeN will be able to come up with a solution.

Could somebody please post pictures of the menus in Eyefinity/Surround? I know that people are saying it's "playable," but the written descriptions make it sound pretty bad. I don't want to spend $60 if the game does not work correctly in Eyefinity/Surround.

The new DLC update introduced a regression which broke the crosshairs again. Time to wait for another fix. Atleast the crosshairs aren't very important for Portal 2.

Edit: Patch released today fixes the crosshair.

Glad to see Eyefinity works, but why do developers never bother to center the HUD? I can't imagine it takes very long to implement. I really, really, really, hate playing a game and having to turn my head to see ammo levels.

I BSOD'd after about an hour. Not looking so great so far. I would think a BSOD is worse than a CTD. Will need to test some more on stock settings.

There is no need to participate in the beta anymore. The beta is closed and the patch has also just finished going through Steam QA. The patch will be released on September 21, 2011 according to a DICE representative. While I am glad they actually decided to patch the game, having to wait 6+ months ...

[quote]Right. :-) I still try to find a set of 2GB evga 560tis. Still not available in Switzerland. I bought the Withcher 2 last week and now I've read that it doesn't support Eyefinity. Seems to be a no-brainer to go for nvidia surround... Not sure what you meant by not supporting witcher 2 with E...

If you want to ask me any questions or run any tests just let me know. Edit: Poor tet5uo, I feel like we AMD users hijacked his Eidos ...

Developer is saying we don't have Eyefinity properly setup. http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=119689 I've tried re-creating my Eyefinity display group a few times now... still doesn't work. Also doesn't work without bezel compensation. On latest Catalyst 11.8 with 11.7 CAP3 application p...

I use it on all my PC's and it works fine. Very nice for late night programming. Reduced my eye strain considerably. It takes a while to get used to the slightly orange tint, but now I don't even notice it. I found that if I change the transition to take 60 minutes instead of the default 20 seconds ...

Nope, we AMD users are screwed as well. I have an AMD based Eyefinity setup at 6008x1080 and the HUD isn't centered for me either. I will try with bezel compensation disabled at 5760x1080, I know some other games only centered the HUD on uncompensated resolutions.

Yeah, I'm not quite sure why everyone is saying that they're going to buy BF3 immediately. If anything, we should start a boycott of BF3 until we get a promise of working eyefinity/surround, and most importantly continued support of eyefinity/surround. If we all buy BF3 it will just tell them that t...

If anyone is wondering, Valve just released an update and has officially fixed the crosshair on ultra wide resolutions.

Hooray for Valve! :bowdown

Too bad not all developers are so eyefinity/surround friendly.

The brass at EA must have them working too hard on BF3. No idea still except for R11 is indeed being worked on. I think DICE has borrowed clocks from Valve. Nope, DICE just has the worst QA process in the world. Remember when they removed tracers from bullets by accident (which took several weeks t...
