| I was curious abou this myself and poured over forums looking to see if i was going to be wasting my time putting in another 7970 with my "aging" CPU/MOBO. Anyway I just went for it figuring Id return the card if i was bottlenecked. Im no expert here, but given what I do understand about bottlenecks... |

| Ive had a similar problem with my Diamond 7970s. I insalled the 2nd one, ran BF3, no issues. Quit the game to do something else and when i played again, whammo- ultra low fps. Afterburner OSD showed low 3D clocks while in game as well. I forced the clocks via MSI AB and so far so good. I think i als... |

| Got it with my 7970 i just ordered. Its a voucher (not sure how its going to work yet) for Deus Ex, the new Dirt game, and some HALO ripoff that Steam sells for 10 bucks. |

| I use a shader-unlocked 6950 2gb and run BF3 at 5292x1050 (bezel-compensated 3x 1680x1050)...Most settings at Medium. Since I'm running in a lower-than-native resolution, the medium texture setting looks the same as Ultra. . I realize this thread is quite old and probably long forgotten so sorry if... |
