I'm using 5 screens with 2x 980ti. What i can tell you is that sli will not work with more than 4 monitors. Any monitor hooked to the second gfx card will get disabled and when you disable sli desktop will be a mess you will have to redo all your icons the way you like them and sort the monitors the...

So you telling me that my 980ti sli can have a maximun of 6 monitors hooked to them? what? I though only amd could do this i almost jumped ship! Is that 17.28 gbit/s bandwidth shared for all dp ports on the card? or is it per dp port? If its per dp port then i think i can use two mst and get 4 monitors running that way. What do you think?

Which ones? The 3440x1440 ones or 2560x1080? I'm certain that you can run 6x2560x1080 of a fury x, it would just require 2 (although I'd recommend 3) MST HUBs. Eyefinity doesn't like when you mix connection types, so going full display port would be most recommended. It get rid of a tearing issue d...

I don't know if this has been answered before but i know it support 3x 27" monitors but what about the 4th top spot? can i put another 27 or what size will it fit there?
