Nice video, is it all 3rd person or is there FPS too?

1st or 3rd person switchable on-the-fly! :)

You can probably guess I really like this game. I think it does a number of things right. Besides the switchable perspective there is the rolling ability, sprinting, access to hero classes, fill-in bot players, all bases vulnerable to capture, vehicles, etc. Not that these are unique to this game, but having them all together makes it action packed and tons of fun.

SWBF2 has a single player mode. There is at least one campaign which is basically a string of missions through the various MP levels fighting through a Clone Wars storyline. There is also Instant Action available for all maps. Multiple game modes (Conquest--think BF2, CTF, Hunt, XL, Assault).

Let me test TH support. The game has native Hor+ widescreen support, so cross your fingers....:)

Ok, preliminary results say the game does natively support Triplehead resolutions. I have only a 1440x900 display, but I ran the game successfully in FauxTH2Go at 3000x800 in windowed mode (screenshots below). However, the game engine apparently refuses to run the game window any wider that screen width, so when I tested it the window was squashed horizontally and it obviously messed up the HUD. The only question is will the HUD render correctly on a real TH2Go setup? In-game FOV seems correct with no stretch. Any TH members have this game and willing to test?

And a 16:10 shot for reference (I couldn't get the exact same spot, but it's close)

I don't want this thread to get carried away by SWBF2 discussion, so I've posted a new topic to carry on discussion about that game:

Normally I'd never do this here...

Bumpity bump bump

We still have a few days to vote on the new server. I'm looking for at least 11 votes, so I get at least a POOR sampling of what people might like.

I went NWN... I'm more likely to play an RPG than a shooter, no matter what the shooter is. Even so, chance I'll play online outside of the circle of friends that I used to play tabletop wargames/RPGs with is minimal.

I'm kinda interested in playing NWN, but I fear i'm going to have the same experience that I had on WoW. Have friends here on WSGF promise to run some of the story with me, and then not show up or ditch me. I had this happen three times on WoW, and that's why i'm so disenchanted with the game entirely. Too many times people just up and ditched me because I'm new to playing PC RPGs (and all the micromanagement that comes with it). (I prefer RPGs on consoles since it's more of a "I'm gonna go sit and play for a few hours AWAY from my PC.")

FPS games I prefer on the PC since the controls are easier, and when you get a good team of players together, it gets really difficult to lose, unless you purposely just stand there.
