Read Full Detailed Report - Age of Empires II: HD Edition

Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings is a real-time strategy (RTS) video game developed by Ensemble Studios and published by Microsoft.

The Age of Kings focuses on building towns, gathering resources, creating armies, and destroying enemy units and buildings. Players conquer rival towns and empires as they advance one of 13 civilizations through four "Ages": the Dark Age, the Feudal Age, the Castle Age (The Middle Ages), and the Imperial Age, reminiscent of the Renaissance—a 1000 year timeframe.[2] Advancing to a new Age unlocks new units, structures, and technologies, but players must pay a sum of resources to advance to the next age (typically food and gold) once certain buildings from their current age are constructed.

Thanks for the DR, Nox Deleo
More resolutions must be tested before a WS grade is caclulated. If anyone can confirm a resolution is (or isn't) working as depicted, please do so here or by editing the DR.

I see you've got screenshots for 1600x1200 and 1920x1080. Is it possible to test for 1680x1050 or 1920x1200, as well as 3x1920x1080 or 3x1920x1200? Having a screenshot at 3x1920x1080 or 3x1920x1200 would be preferable.

Thanks for including the save game. That's a great idea. If there was a demo I'd work on these gaps, but there isn't one available.

I'll test as many resolutions as I can today and update the DR...ran out of time yesterday. Unfortunately I can't test many TH resolutions since I'm currently using mixed aspect monitors that share very few common resolutions. I was thinking of ordering more 16:9 panels, but with all the cool curved screen stuff going on at the moment, I believe I'll wait. I also can't test 16:10 resolutions short of forcing my 16:9 TV to one, but then I can't really say if there's any issues with it since I'll have stretching anyway.

On a side note I had a dream last night of this game on a table made of multiple 4K displays and Kinect hacked touch control. I'm assuming that sort of dream is commonplace here :)

Edit:
I could only test 1280x720 and 1360x768 natively (they both work fine, however an http 500 error is stopping me updating the DR right now, and in fact posting this). This made me realise that the only TH resolution I could test wasn't exactly native, as this stretched across my center monitor.

I could give temporary Steam account access to any of you if you'd like to fill in the gaps (judging by the how-to vids, I'm guessing Skip could cover them all quite quickly?).

Tested with 1920x1200 and 5760x1200, the game works great with both. :) I've also added the 16:10 screenshot and replaced the multi-monitor one.

Tested on 1920x1080 and 5760x1080 in Nvidia Surround. Works great. Hate having my HUD/Overlay on my far monitors though. Have to relearn all the hot keys, too inefficient to use the context buttons in the bottom left.
