Interesting solution - does anyone know how to set custom resolution on ATI graphics card?

Step 3. use NVIDIA control panel to set custom resolution of 1680x1200

This results in black screen (resolution no supported) and reverting back to previous res.

You have to make sure to open advanced mode while setting custom resolutions. The timing standard has to be set to AUTO.

With this settings it should work. Does for me, Fahrenheit is so much more awesome like this.

Actually it's not confusing. It does require reading skills, tho.
Search for the text/string value "1600", not a HEX value.

Can someone clarify what to change?

I used a hex editor and found the second 1600 as described. I am ainming to have a 1680x1050 resolution so what exactly do I change in the hex editor?

The instructions in the first post say

Select a resolution and type your desired widescreen resolution.

So where do I type 1680x1050 exactly?

Many thanks.

Over the 1600 and 1200 you found.

Too bad this game doesn't support widescreen. Stretching isn't really an option imo, I rather play on a smaller screen than with fat people with broad faces... :)

Does anyone know if there is any chance that there will ever be a way to play the game in real Hor+? Since the XBOX version does support widescreen and from what I know an xbox is basically an IBM-PC, it should be fairly easy to patch the PC version - if you have access to the source code that is.

Alright, I found something that may make it easier to find the FOV, I hex edited the GOG version, which required half the resolution number in one hex and the last half in the very next down the row. (I edited 1600x1200 for the best compatibility)

When you use ALT+ENTER it exits full screen, this GIVES FIXED FOV for 16:9 in 1920x1080!!!

Does anyone know how to implement this finding into revealing which hex is the HFOV and which is the VFOV to fix it for fullscreen?
