Read Full Detailed Report - Rainbow Six: Vegas 2

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is an installment in the Rainbow Six series. It is a tactical first person shooter video game and the sequel to Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas. It was announced by Ubisoft on November 20, 2007.

A world-exclusive first-look of the game appeared in the January 2008 edition of the Official Xbox Magazine. It was announced that Logan Keller, the lead character from the previous game, had been removed in favor of having the player create his or her own character to play through the campaign. The player assumes the role of Bishop, a member of the Rainbow squad with a great deal more experience who has a deeper involvement in the story.

The game, billed as "part sequel, part prequel", has events that run both before and concurrently to the story of Logan Keller and continue after where the first game concluded. In addition to the ability to customize a character in multiplayer, the player can now customize Bishop, Vegas 2's protagonist. In single-player, the developers claim to have vastly improved teammate AI, so that now teammates cover each other as they advance. There are also several new commands, for example, the ability of a teammate to throw a grenade at a specific point. It is also possible to give commands to one's AI teammates using a PC microphone.

Looks amazing, thanks for your continued support.

Great game too... underrated series in general, despite the loss of tactics.

Cool, Kudos to you. I sold mine when I couldn't get the thing to go TH at 5040 (patch or no patch). Don't think I will buy it again ;)

Glad I could help out.

Now that I've got it working in triplehead I've actually played the game (on the shelf for awhile), and I must agree with you. This will be added to the weekly co-op sessions with my local buddies right away. ;)

Thanks for the feedback on EF. It should even work for 3x16:9 setups with minimal stretching.

If there are enough people interested I might be persuaded to cook up an Eyefinity-tailored release for the most common resolutions.

I can't find R6Vegas2-103-THfix.zip. The Racer-S patched R6Vegas2 THfix works but I need the later version to join my friends in triple head resolution. If anyone has a link or can send please reply or pm. Thanks.

Thanks GeneralAdmission! Now I can play in triple head resolution with my friends who use the later 1.03 version. I didn't see higher resolutions in R6V2 video options but I set it to 5290 x 1050 (5040 plus bezel correction) using SoftTH (forceResolution=1) and that resolution is still recalled by R6V2 after removing SoftTH which isn't required with Nvidia Surround.
