Sega has announced a packaged compilation of four of its Dreamcast titles--Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Sega Bass Fishing, and Space Channel 5: Part 2--for the Xbox 360 and PC and as a PC digital download. The collection comes out on February 25 in Europe and February 22 in the US.

Besides letting Dreamcast aficionados revisit old favourites on new platforms, the Dreamcast Collection has achievements, online leaderboards, and "enhanced graphics for both platform versions," in line with the digitally remastered 720p graphics already seen in the reissued Sonic Adventure and Crazy Taxi.

Looks like we'll have some work to do...

Note as before, it appears the forced 4:3 aspect ratio is intact for Sonic Adventure. For Crazy Taxi, it's likely the classic soundtrack will again not be included (presumably for licensing reasons), though this should be relatively easy to recreate, especially on PC.

Just play it on Dolphin (I believe this one is better) or NullDC. Done. Unless they are adding cool stuff to it, then I'd be interested in getting the PC release... Again...

Who will fade into the abyss never to be typed about again except for some poor bastard on Gamefaqs?

However, development on the title has since "stalled," and the developers have moved onto other projects. Though the Mirror's Edge franchise is "close to his heart," Sunderland said he can't develop the title for the sake of "charity."

Another emerging IP bites the dust.

Shame, I really really enjoyed ME. Played through it multiple times, completed the time trials etc.

It was flawed, but...different. I think the IP could have been grown into something special. The core ideas were fun.
