I haven't fired it up on a widescreen yet ... just TripleHead ... but I have had reports in that say ...

Width FOV: 0.8
Height FOV: 0.7

are pretty good.

edited them and came up with 0.88 and 0.92 when using 1680x1050.

Here are some resized screens.

4:3

Default

0.8/0.7:

0.88/0.92

EDIT: crap, just noticed I screwed up. brb making new settings :P

EDIT2:
0.84/0.82

I can confirm this doesn't work with Vista 32-bit, I have disabled driver signing and UAC and run the hack as an administrator, nothing.

Quoting you just incase you missed the edit :). I think you did. I think the last one is pretty accurate when comparing to the 4:3 shot.

Hello,

Vista 32bit user here, works like a charm. just want to tell people to make sure they checked wich version they are using, demo or retail... at first i had no results until i noticed retail was checked when i was actually running the demo. Once demo was checked, bingo. works A1. thanks for the fix.

Well done! Now I can maybe count on enjoying the full game too.
Using 0.8 0.8 with latest nVidia driver on Vista32 and a 1440x900 monitor.

Works great for me in retail 1.0 on XP SP2. I'm playing in 1600x900 (even though I have a 4:3 monitor) and eyeballed the correct settings by doing the following:

1) Equip the wrench.
2) Decrease Hieght FOV until the tattoo was clear on my wrist.
3) Walked over to where there was something perfectly round (wheels along walls work rather well).
4) Decreased Vertical FOV until it looked perfectly round.

I ended up with these values:
Width: 0.766
Height: 0.804

Might not be mathematically correct, but it looks right to my eyes anyway.

Well done Racer_S!

Hmm, could we do some testing visually as to see what would be the "official" FoV for certain Resolutions and Aspect Ratio's using the hack. ?
