It's funny people are already speaking against DX10 when we haven't seen what it can do at all yet... Throwing in some minor enhancements to Lost Planet and Call of Juarez is not a summary of DX10 as a whole...

Wait for Crysis.

PFFT, DX10 is sooooooo 10 minutes ago. I've already moved on to DX11.

What's with all the bash over DX10? There haven't really been very many games so far that utilize it and those that did didn't utilize it nearly to its fullest capabilities.

Why make a game with DX10 if no one can play it? :)

That looks like 2 identical scenes to me, except they used 2 different textures, it ain't any bigger, just lots more whiter.

I thought this was a thread about Gears of War on the PC, not the DX9 vs DX10 showdown extreme!!!!

Anyway, sucks the new chapters are PC only... apparently there using a different build of the unreal engine and can't port it over to 360. Suppose I'll have to get the PC version after it goes down in price a bit to kill the brumak(Or whatever its called).

Really? So it's not that they won't, but can't port it? ;_;

Also, I remember seeing plenty of side-by-side DX9/10 shots, one of the more obvious things being the ability to create thicker foliage and "heavenly" rays of light. Forgot what game it was.
