The sniping mission was simply amazing, probably my favourite level in the whole thing. I'll never forget when the bullet I fire turns to hit him in the head, yet his arm falls off. ;)

Yeah, I had it perfectly lined up, and the bloodspray came right from his face... and yet his arm falls off? WTF? :lol:

(Although to be fair, with a .50 cal rifle, just aiming for the centre-mass would mean the target wouldn't have most of his important organs left... y'know, things like heart and lungs.)

Playing it through on Veteran, it feels slightly longer but all in all still a fairly short game. Makes up for that and more by being an epic ass story though.
1000/1000 yay

The mission after said mission sucked big time, I was stuck on it for a few days. :roll:

Ahh, the last part of "Heat" was fairly difficult; only way I could beat it was flash and rush. ;_;
Personally, I found "No Fighting In The War Room" harder, but only because I hate navigating the tight spaces, and at one point it wouldn't checkpoint me so I'd restart really far back.

I called Circuit City and had them hold a copy of CoD4, they have a special where you get a $10 gift card with purchase. I have about 5 hrs to pick it up as the special ends today but I'm sitting here wondering if I'll just get upset seeing it at Fry's for less on a Black Friday sale. What do you think, should I get it?

If you want it, why not?

Well I do want it but I generally wait for $35 or less price reduction or sales and Black Friday's coming so this situation is different. I don't play mp anymore so $40 or higher is too much for me.

I decided to hold off and ordered MoH: Airborne for $30 at Circuit City, so at least they still got some biz from me after having them hold CoD4 without going in to buy it.

Even if I don't see CoD4 for $35 or less by the end of the holidays, it will likely be that price or less soon after and by then there will be some more mods available for it.

Yeah, that's true enough. :)

Sale offers 'round where I live used to be really good. In recent years, they've kinda sucked. :(

Hmm, I'm not sure what level that is, but I've just finished the sniping level in Chernobyl, and that was amazing, looked just brilliant and so much fun. I actually reminisced on it later that night and thought i had watched a film! Had to do a double-take inside my head to remember i had actually played it.

And this is why it's on my play list. I remember being immersed like this in Cod1 and 2. A lot of the levels ended in a crescendo of sound and sight that left you taking a deep breath and a moment of thought to regain focus on reality!

Ah yes, the game devs have released a slew of new titles entering the holidays and the pc parts makers are crossing their fingers hoping for some profits. At least AMD/Intel/Nvidia if ya know what I mean? I for one need to upgrade pretty soon :shock:

This game rules. If you're not playing it online then you're missing out, big time.
