I kind of wish I hadn't bought this. I haven't played it at all in over a week because of excellent singleplayer games I prefer and there seems to be no lack of awesome singleplayer games coming out soon. Meanwhile I am using up my free 30 days and rapidly approaching a "monthly fee for a game I never play" situation.
I love Star Trek, but I just hate the MMO dynamic.
I only group with people that I know so I solo quite a bit. The are a few fleet actions that you are kinda forced to play with a large group but they are now many.
Yes, there are a lot of single player game out now and soon. I still have not completed DAO, I started a bit in ME2, then FF XIII and C&C 4 in March. Guess that's why I got the lifetime. I can put in as little time as I want without feeling guilty (of having to pay a monthly). that said, I'm spending most of my time in STO, the episodic stories really take off at the LT commander level. Spoiler warning:
So far I have tackled the Guardian of Forever,Found out the reason for the Klingon bony forehead, Seen a Doomsday Device, had a run in with the Crystalline entity and am just now moving into Romulan space with an Akira for further mayhem ;-P
