This would be an ideal game to add PROPER widescreen support to. The Gamecube version is already letterboxed, but sadly, stays letterboxed on a widescreen monitor. The PS2 version has proper widescreen support, but the visuals aren't nearly up to par with the Gamecube version. And we all know that the PC is easily capable of reproducing Gamecube-level graphics. Will Capcom deliver the goods?

I have the gamecube version but the letterboxed format annoys me a lot!

Id love to see a pc version! First resident evil i ever played was on the PC :) One of the first 3D card only games! I think it supported 3dFX, rendition, and the matrox mystique :)

I will get it if it comes to pc. I have only played Resident Evil on the playstation. I haven´t even played RE 4 so it would be nice if it comes to pc.

Resident Evil 4 is the Highest Ranked game ever on Gamespot if i'm not mistaken.
Maybe worth the try if they really bring it to the pc.

It definitely is coming to PC... Gamestop let's you pre-order it. You best do it because I'm willing to bet it'll be very limited like every other RE PC title.
RE1, RE2, RE3 and Gun Survivor was it I believe. I had to get RE1 PC from europe and RE2 PC somebody traded it in at EB Games just before we stopped taking PC games. And well, I have a BACKUP of RE3 and Gun Survivor. They're the worst PC ports I've seen actually... MGS2 right behind them :)

I just heard about this port yesterday, I'm pretty psyched. Been meaning to grab it for the GC, but if it'll be on the pc, of course that's the superior way to go.

One thing to note, I heard this rumor in a thread about StarForce. Ubi loves slapping Starforce on things (like HMM5 :( )

I guess I can say goodbye to ~a month of my life once this gets to the PC... *please let this run on my rig without locking up*

I just hope that it has decent control options ... like strafing ... many ported games don't seem to get this right ... :?

I wouldn't count on being able to do anything that you can't in the console versions. I'll consider us lucky if it lets you mouse-aim while standing still. Besides, being able to circle-strafe with a mouse and keyboard would make this game ridiculously easy.

I highly doubt ANYTHING will differ from the GC/PS2 version. We'll be lucky to get joystick/controller support and graphical options.
