Here is a couple great Oblivion distance texture mods ... without using the uGridsToLoad = 9 thing ... and it doen't mess up anything else ... like the water reflections ... 8) :D

EDIT ... the links to the pictures are no longer working so I removed them ... see my pics below ...

Worked for me ... :D

You still get the borders between the high and low res textures showing up ... but at least the textures in the distance look better ... 8)

Wow I can't believe how it normally looks on pc...it looks like the second pic on xbox, but that first pic is just UGLY.

Here are screenshots from my comp showing the texture borders before and after the mod and I tweaked the textures further in Photoshop to make them not so dark and so the borders show up less ... 8)

NOTE ... uGridsToLoad = 5 ... for all screenshots :wink:

Uhm, what good are Photoshopped screenshots? Keep it real, please. :p

From what I've seen in the screenshot, the mod does seem to help, but the texture borders are nevertheless damn ugly. :(

I think he edited the texture in Photoshop, not the image.
