aww i thoughtg ot was clear enough, most if not all adventure games dont support widescreen. What do you do when you want to play one and dont have 1:1?

Sure they do. Most adventure games run at 320x200 resolution. This is widescreen.

What do you do when you want to play one and dont have 1:1?
I pillarbox'em. This is possible with any widescreen monitor as long as it has DVI (and your graphics card is half decent).
