Hehe, Black Hawk down is one of my favorite games :) but unfortunatley, i don't think it's possible to run the game in wdescreen at all  . I've wondered the same thing for a long time, but the config file (dfv.cfg in the BHD directory) only has preset 4:3 resolutions and entering a widescreen version seems to have no effect.

If anyone else here would know how to run BHD in widescreen, i'm also listening... but I don't think it's possible. It makes me sad too.

That was an awesome game until a few months before Battlefield 2 came out. It was like everyone was hacking, and many good people stopped putting up with it since BF2 was right around the corner. I had some good times with friends in that game...

Anyways, it will not use any custom resolutions that it does not recognize; it will just ignore them so wide screen resolutions are no good in this game, last I checked, anyway. The best thing to do would be to let your monitor scale it, or force it into full screen at a high resolution, if it doesn't bother you, since your graphics card can more than handle it.
