That version features high resolution 3D accelerated graphics, FMV cut-scenes, and spoken dialog in and in between missions.

There was also a PC version of Rogue Squadron.

I recently learned that the original Tomb Raider was a DOS game. I always knew it was a PC game, but I had always assumed it was for Windows 95. A Win95 port never happened.

So you are saying the best Star Wars game ever made is even better?

One word, Amazon.

Just found out about this:

Seems Aspyr quickly snuck this out the doors this December and hoped no one would notice.

There are also a bunch of Sega games on PC most people wouldn't have expected to find there. Some are:
Comix Zone
Crazy Taxi 1-3
Daytona USA
Ecco the Dolphin
The House of the Dead 1-3
Panzer Dragoon (sadly none of the sequels, Zwei and Saga being in a particularly dire need of a resolution bump)
Sega GT
Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure
Virtua Fighter

I've still got Panzer Dragoon on my PC, (downloaded the sequel on a Saturn emulator since I played it first and it was a great game), althought I've never tried running it at 5040x1050.

It's kinda sad I knew about all of those. I've even got the PC Sonic games somewhere...

Shadows of the Empire was fun, I liked it a lot. Never had the chance to play the full game (only the demo) as by the time I had a 3D accelerator card (which was required) it had vanished from all the shops. Rogue Squadron was better on the PC - it ran more smoothly, had better graphics and significantly better textures. I was most irritated with Lucasarts when they said Rogue II and III were GameCube only.

SSF doesn't do that. Its "high resolution" mode is just 704x480 (720x480 for PAL games), and all it's doing is doubling the pixels anyway.

Interestingly, Panzer Dragoon Zwei supports a widescreen mode, making it one of the first non-handheld widescreen games. But since SSF doesn't do widescreen resolutions, there's no convenient way to emulate it - widescreen mode simply stretches the picture vertically, with the expectation that the widescreen TV will stretch it horizontally back to normal, so you must have your graphics card do the same.

Also, I finished Panzer Dragoon Saga for the first time pretty recently. It's easily the most innovative JRPG I've ever seen. But damn is it ugly - this should have been a Dreamcast game.

Yeah, I was amazed when I saw the Sonic the Hedgehog collection at some store for PC... the market for that must be epic in its small size.
