Set for release by the end of the year on Steam, the Oddboxx will include a pair of games previously released on the PC--Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus--as well as the developer's two original Xbox exclusives, Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath. The package will also include "a few new additions and enhancements," though Oddworld Inhabitants hasn't indicated just what those will be. Despite the name, the Oddboxx is not planned to see a retail release.

Been waiting for this just to play Stranger's Wrath on PC, but it's been delayed so many times... The more classic Oddworld games were quite fun but really frustrating at times, I don't miss that kind of stuff at all. Hope the price will be right, that's a bunch of pretty old games now, notwithstanding the announced "enhancements".

The Oddbox is out, but the good news is each game can be purchased separately. Oh, and all prices are -50%. 8)
Unfortunately, Stranger's Wrath is Vert-.

The Steam forums seem to indicate that the 3D Oddworlds are broken. Really broken. Like Saints Row 2 PC on launch times ten broken.

No word on "new additions and enhancements."

Fixed that for you.
Was anyone seriously expecting anything more than minimally functional PC ports rushed out for Xmas sale anyway ? And even a lame release like Saints Row 2 got patched in its time.

The enhancements will be for the PS3 versions first, and *then* *maybe* *somehow* injected into the PC versions: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=24976146&postcount=84
Reassured yet ?

I remember the first Oddworld game - got a PC demo of it somewhere - which I liked a lot; but skavv, your words make me glad I didn't bite on that deal...

I don't spend much time on the Steam forums, but I never really picked up that sentiment in general.

Must be Abe's Odyssey (Oddysee, actually) then. It's a 2D platformer that has been available on Steam for some time. It's not one of the "really broken" 3D games that were just released, so you can still consider giving it a whirl ;)
