HI Guys.

Running 2 Radeon 6950's in crossfire mode.

1920 x 1200 single monitor max everything I am getting about 105-160FPS in battlefield bad company 2.

When I run in eyefinity mode 5760 x 1200, the FPS drops substantially to around 40-50. Its like the second card isn't there anymore?? Is there something extra I have to setup. I was not expecting a 50% FPS drop......

Intel i7-2600k
12gb corsair ram
Intel 510 SSD
2gb Sapphire Radeon 6950 dirt edition cards in crossfire

Thanks

Sounds like a Crossfire problem. I run a single 6950 shader modded) and i get fantastic framerates at 6036x1200.

Not too familiar with Crossfire, myself, but I do believe there is a Crossfire Profile for BC2...

It's not like tripling the number of pixels is free on performance.

Games will lose anything from 33% to 75% of their single-monitor fps when using EyeFinity/Surround. You've gone from 2.3 million pixels (approx) to 7 million (approx) and that takes a lot of GPU power to do.

Is this like the first time you've ever had an eyefinity rig?

Err... more pixels = more gpu horsepower required. I was actually impressed it pumped out at a decent 50 fps. i.e. your system wasn't bottlenecked and you basically scored a perfectly linear fps vs. pixels ratio.

That sounds about right to me. If you want to check whether your second card is working (which I think it is) download RadeonPro and enable xfirex bar.
