Just a thought, but is there any way that widescreen fixer can detect what game you are running and apply the appropriate fix. At the moment, you need to ensure you pick the right game from the drop list. Although this is fine, there are times that I switch between modern warfare or skyrim for example and forget to change the drop list option. I then need to close the game, change the drop list and re-load the game.

I know I'm being lazy, but if it can be automated at some point that would be great.

When I try to use this on Dead Space it crashes.
I have all the required .NET & C++ files installed, newest drivers.
What is causing this?

Can someone please help me with this?
I can't play Dead Space without it.
Thank You

Hello Mike,

I think it might help to reinstall Net. Framework. You can find it in your Add/Remove programs.
If you have uninstalled Net. Framework from your computer u have to restart your computer and then install Net. Framework 4. (If you have more versions of Net. Framework on your computer uninstall them all and then install net. Framework 4.)

Hope it helps.

The latest build is built as 32-bit only. I'd like everyone who was having issues before to give this one a try and let me know if it works.

Any chance you can take a look at Fifa 12 and fix those horrible menus?? Looks like a similar problem as Skyrim. Gameplay is fine but everything else (menus etc) is zoomed in.

Hello,
I've been using widescreen fixer WITHOUT FAIL for quite awhile now. Today I decided that I would update my video drivers (previously running Catalyst 12.1). I used Catalyst Control Center for the update to version 12.4, and it seemed the update was successful, but when I checked in Catalyst Control Center it still said I was running 12.1. So I ran the installer (for 12.4) again, and got the same result. I tried out a game and something seemed definitely wrong, things were choppy and slow. So I ended up using the catalyst 12.4 installer to UNinstall my the drivers and Catalyst Control Center so I could start over fresh and install Catalyst Control Center 12.3 instead (since I had the issue with 12.4). That all went well and it now says that I'm running version 12.3.

Now, when I try to start Widescreen Fixer it immediately crashes and says "Widescreen Fixer has stopped working". I've got no idea what may have happened, the only thing that seems could've changed things is updating my video drivers/uninstalling then re-installing Catalyst Control Center. By the way, I did click the "Check online for a solution and close the.....

I just did the exact same thing with the same results. I may go back to 12.1

You can try going to "C:UsersAppDataLocalDavid_Rudie" and delete the widescreen fixer folder within, then try loading it again.

This didn't work for me.
