I am really hoping that HaYDeN can get that new fix out - because I just love his existing fix. Mad thanks to him and Helifax and all who have worked on this.
In the meantime I noticed a lot of people complaining that CrossfireX is not working or is giving poor performance. I fooled around with it a lot and found a configuration that works for me. I was frustrated that it seemed very sluggish and stuttery.
I run 5760x1200 (3 x 28") on dual 2GB 6950's, core i7 (920), 12GB ram, dual SSDs in RAID-0. Should be fast. It wasn't.

There is a version of the drivers posted there, install that. Make sure you have CAP3 installed, NOT CAP4.
Install RadeonPro and do as the guy says - set it to TES IV profile and make sure Surface Optimization is turned off, CatalystAI on full and CF mode to AFR.
Using the RadeonPro tools I can see that both VPU's are being used, and I get much better framerate than before. Plus it is just obviously smoother. Before, with no tweaks, I was getting 20-25 fps with "High" settings. Now I am running on Ultra and getting 40-50 fps which is plenty fine. I set the shadows to Medium because many people are saying that this setting is bugged and works opposite to how its labeled. I find the shadows look much better.
I also found that after I applied the >2GB fix (there are a few different ones) I have not had one single CTD. I was getting those every 20 minutes or so before
Really, if HaYDen can get books and maps fixed, I will be in heaven.
Thanks for the tip! I have done some more crossfire testing with 2x6850 and had no luck with CF/eyefinity. CF works for me, but with about 0% scaling, and Radeon Pro shows 40-60% utilization.
I will follow the instructions on that post and report back.
Looking forward to trying Halifax's new fix. The ability to toggle to x1 or x3 should bring the best of everythng.
