.../ When I use console commands such as showinventory, additem, or equipitem on any NPC or companion the console command for them won't work when I run the LAA executable and .9 patch. It runs the console command without errors but nothing happens. It seem to work if I do an player.additem /...
Something I have noted;
Clicking in the world is not what I was clicking.. eh? 3 people on screen Left to Right, A B and C. Center'd on each monitor. You click on B (with console up) and you get an ID tag. It, actualy for -A-. I was using "removeallitems" for testing as it is obvious and instantly visable. With con' still up, you would see thier weapon dissapear. Drop con' and everything goes, leaving skivies or underwear.
Kept try'n it, nothing worked. Sometimes got Lydia.. huh. But she is on the side ...DING. Heh.
removeallitems: takes everything off the person, they are locked out of thier own homes ..no key etc. You don't get the "stuff" either (v1.1) ..it all goes to the big bit bucket in the sky. Reload that area (city/tavern) and thier outfits are back, dunno about the rest. (Merchants still have thier inventory.)
(poteninaly could nuke quest items..ecK!)
player.removeallitems ..nukes yers! ha! Just incase you want to go back to nature and give up yer life or war, thievery and butcherin cute dragons. :)
Thats interesting. I did note that I kept getting different ID tags even when clicking on the same spot sometimes. I'll have to check into that further to see if that's what is going on. Yeah, I'm definitely not using the player. commands when trying to mess with my NPC's. ;)
EDIT: Well I think you hit the nail on the head. I just tested it and when I click on Saadia in Whiteholm it comes up with a few different ID's and none of them are hers. So.... I don't know why i can't ever get hers up but at least I know what's going on now. I can click on the same spot on her and it brings up like 3 or 5 different ID's. Maybe if I go back and click on the ugly innkeeper a few times Saadia's will come up. Haha!
Thanks much for the input, I just got her's up just by clicking randomly around the screen. You just saved me a lot of frustration!. :) I'm glad I don't have to do this a lot because it would get tiresome having to lookup up everyones codes all day long. Although it was kinda funny when I realized I changed the innkeeper into an assassin.
