Plays fine at 2400x600 ... with everything at the defaults for the card ... which seem to be high or medium except for Water Detail ... which is set on Simple Reflections.

The Parhelia has FAA-16x which really helps to make the image look good when playing at lower resolutions. I am using the 8xAGP Parhelia 128.

Does the 16x FSAA decrease the framerate dramatically? (ie: to (almost) unplayable levels?)

I still have memories of the framerate dives with the Voodoo 5 and the GeForce 3... ;)

Some games have quite a big frame rate hit ... for example GTA3 + Vice City.
However ... many games do seem unaffected by it and HL2 certainly doesn't seem to be affected by it ... :D
BTW ... the "in game" AA is set to none ... the FAA-16x is set in the Powerdesk facility for the Parhelia.

I posted some pics on the screenshot section showcasing the differences between fullscreen and widescreen in these games.

The drivers for my monitor are also suffering from the same problem, not showing many of the actual resolutions that the device can really do (I have a 16:9 DLP projector).

I have powerstrip installed but the weird thing is that 1280x720 is available to me in Windows already, just not in the 'supported modes list', I have to uncheck 'hide unsupported modes' to be able to choose it.

How can I make a 1280x720 resolution that will appear in the 'supported modes' list? HL2 will only offer supported modes in it's video options, so I need to acheive this so I can choose 1280x720 from my 16:9 menu.
