This thread is about the demo, but another thread started was locked, so has anybody had any luck with the actual PC game? There is a nasty bug in the Xbox version that won't allow 480p and widescreen at the same time, supposedly. Leading me to think this is a bug from it being rushed out the door, which could create similar glitches in the PC version.

I got it to work on 1680x1050 via the PC the same way as the demo. I wonder if I can do 1920x1200 when the new monitor arrives...

Still working on FOV.

How is it possible to change the FOV in SW Republic Commando.

Ive found only on variable in the System.inis
StarWars RepublicCommandoGameDataSystemsystem.ini
StarWars RepublicCommandoGameDataSavesystem.ini

[Editor.EditorEngine]
FovAngleDegrees=90.000000

In the Console with Shift+Ö there exists nothing also a insert of this Line
in the System.inis under The Game Engine Section Analog to the Editor ones
but it dont seem to work also without Quotas.

[Engine.GameEngine]
FovAngleDegrees=100.000000

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
FovAngleDegrees=100.000000

Perhaps anyone has another Idea FOV 100 oder 110 would be fine.

changing the

[WinDrv.WindowsClient]
FovAngleDegrees=100.38886

doesn't work for any of the System.ini

StarWars RepublicCommandoGameDataSystemsystem.ini
StarWars RepublicCommandoGameDataSavesystem.ini

i've tried making the ini files READ ONLY and it still doesn't work

this is with the retail version too. there must be a command to enable FOV as it uses the Unreal2 engine.

the resolution might work but if you take a look at your crosshair, its not a perfect circle, its a little bit stretched which suggests that it's still at 90 FOV... are you talking about the demo or the retail?

yeah, its a great game. its so smooth with my X800XT

i just cant stand the stretched crosshair and the extra wide world. on my 2005FPW, if I set it to 1600x1200 with ASPECT scaling, it still stretches on the whole screen. It doesn't do it on other games, its just plain gay!

Retail. I'll check tonight. I don't remember how the crosshairs are. However, if for some strange reason the crosshairs are static images, then the FOV could be right and the crosshairs would still not be a perfect circle.

I did check for the fisheye lens effect by running around and spinning in place and found nothing out of place. Of course, people's minds do play tricks on the owner.

I did change the FOV to like 200 and 300... this would clearly give me a fisheye world but it did not. You're right about the crosshair being stretched if they are static images. Even that happens on COD even thought the world FOV is changed.

I think the design itself was forced on 90 FOV, we'll have to start a petition for WS support for the next patch.

By this time, all games should be WS supported. Like Dell's new FPW2405 would be damn sweeet at 1920x1600
