I’ve tried the fix and it does not seem to be working. Is this fix updated for version 1.0.0.216(current steam version).

Can anyone else confirm this works or doesn’t?

  • Download file from https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files (search there)
  • Copy MaxPayne3_Ultrawide.exe in the game folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Max Payne 3\Max Payne 3
  • Run MaxPayne3_Ultrawide.exe and apply patch to MaxPayne3.exe
  • Run game

Or using HEX-editor, patch the following bytes in MaxPayne3.exe
76 0B 6A 01 6A 03 => EB 0B 6A 01 6A 03

i think that this is the best forum of the planet, tbh the file fix doesnt work for me, but the hex fix works perfectly plus you dont have to do something everytime you launch the game (few months ago i found the file fix but now disappeard in my folder, and when i try download it again it says its a virus...)

Hey Jackfuste :) I wanted to ask is it possible to have .bik cutscenes not stretched and cropped top and bottom but simply play in 16:9 mannerwith black bars left and right? Real time cutscenes work wonderfull but those .bik videos are stretched and thus pixelated. Either way thanks for this fix.

Thanks for sharing this! I edit this and it works with 32:9 screen.

But there is still no fix for the cutscenes which are zoomed in? Thx!
