Oh wow. That gun overlay is way off with that setup. I'll work on that tomorrow.

That looks great, though.

Yeah, it is off, but I'm so happy to finally use all my monitors in that setup. Was sad to see wide characters when the game launched. lol.

Alright, I've finally put out a plugin.

Download Widescreen Fixer here

Your mileage will vary. Multiplayer is at your own risk as usual.

Please report any and all problems. I did not even move past the first room in the game so there may be things that happen later in the game that do not work.

Here's a list of things that still need fixed that I know of.

Single Player
  • Some text is still stretch horizontally
  • Weapon overlay with ammo counter is shifted slightly to the left

Multi Player
  • Some text is still stretch horizontally

Thanks, and enjoy.

dopefish thanks a lot for the fix, i just wanted to ask if there is any risk getting banned for using this in Multiplayer, also i noticed another issue.. my mouse cursor reach certain point on the right side of the monitor and it stuck when im in the menu, keeping me from reaching some of the buttons, like the back button for example. i have a 2560x1080 - 21:9 monitor and it happens in the multiplayer menu, i didn't check the singleplayer one.

What is proper configuration for 21:9 2560x1080 ?
If I set Uncorrected res to 2560x1080 only menu works, at 1920x1080 almost all in game is ok, but counter on gun is 3x wider than gun, and game menu is visible partially, unusable.

Great work, it's really fun to play now!

Today i gave the SP part a go and wanted to run the campaign again with harder settings and i noticed some stuff.
It's not game-breaking though, it works as is.

This is my findings.

SP FOV.
In MP theres a FOV slider, but not in SP. So i guess the FOV isn't changed using Widescreen Fixer.
I used the FOV fix in conjunction with WSF to get a FOV of 90.

Some of the characters in the text on grenades are missing. In SP you can hold G and switch to different grenade typed by tapping F and the text changes only on the grenade to determine which one you want to use.

Cheers, dopefish! I made a small donation for your work, it's not much, but it's something.

MP is so much better now on 21:9

I had a chance to test it this morning. When I leave it on Auto Detect it adds my top monitor into the mix and still has a stretched image.
So I have to manually tell it 1 monitor at 2560x1080, then it seems to work. http://imgur.com/a/I4ZVJ

Quick video I recorded for anyone who wants to see it in 21:9: http://youtu.be/4vkDIn2bT00

Yeah, it's not really set up right now for a single wide display. It will try to treat it as 3 monitors and mess things up. I'll add in support for using ultra wide next.
