eyefinity not working for me either. everything is super zoomed in. character creation is impossible. How do I go to the next 'menu', anyway? (ie go from 'race' to 'body')

Anyone have any Ideas on how to rectify the menu problem? that seems to be the only issue for me..

HaYDeN is checking the game, if its possible to create a memory hack to fix the menus issues he will make it happen, please keep checking WSGF, when we have a solution itll be posted so all community can have it.

Awesome, but wouldn't there be a .ini command, instead of a memory hack ?

Well a .ini command would be incredibly easier, but some fixes require much more than that unfortunately.

Thank you daveatx and dibadiba for posting those pictures. The menus do look pretty bad. I'll hold off on purchasing it until the menus get fixed by either Bethesda or some developers on WSGF. Hopefully HaYDeN will be able to come up with a solution.

anyone tried the old fallout commands like

fRenderedTerminalZoom=36

pipboyzoom, fdefaultworldFOV, isafezone etc etc..

it seems to have the same 3 .ini files as fallout in the same locations, 2 under users/my docs/ and 1 in the game dir.

i'm at work so i cant try yet.

Hey guys,

I haven't unlocked Skyrim yet, but had a fair amount of experience with Fallout 3 and Fallout 3 NV which are Gamebryo Engine Bethesda games and had the same issues you're describing. Zoomed in /off center character creation screens, uncentered HUD elements, etc. Is there a iSafeZoneXWide and iSafeZoneYWide variable in the ini file for Skyrim? In Fallout, I had to adjust those values to =875 to get the HUD on the center screen at 5760x1080. I was never able to get the character creation screen in either Fallout to work properly in Eyefinity and just lived with it being borked.

Bad news is that the pip-boy (think inventory, quest & journal screens) were never super-zoomed in either Fallout 3 or New Vegas, so there's probably no ready-made fix for that in Skyrim...yuck!

*Edit* That's right, Pittyh, I'd forgotten about fRenderedTerminalFOV and fRenderedTerminalZoom values. In my relatively working Fallout 3 and New Vegas ini files I used fRenderedTerminalZoom=72 and fRenderedTerminalFOV=0.15 at 5760x1080.

How satisfying would it be to be able to grab the lazy sob's developers of this game by their throats and punch them in the heads a few times..............EXTREMELY!!

yeah the .ini files in skyrim, are almost the same as oblivion and fallout, they just seem alot smaller like some commands have been removed.

setting eyefinity=1 was the only way to adjust the "character select screen" in fallout

i remember playing with those .ini files for literally hours. i have fallout new vegas set up perfectly for eyefinity except the char screen like you.

I'm at work now - so can't look at it till I get home again - but yes, please exhaust the INI options, because I haven't looked at them yet -- Usually problems like this are not fixable with INI so I don't bother, normally certain scenes/screens are fixable, but we can hope.

Looking at the code - it scales very much like Unreal Engine 3, scaling vertically (resulting in cut off portions)

Before I left however, I had managed to get the entire UI constrained to a single moitor, un-centered.
