Is it possible to stretch the hud- and inventar-boxes or somthing like that?
Because the letters dont fit with the boxes at 1440x900

Is there a fix for that??

No ... I don't thinks so ...
However you could try my fix for this with TripleHead ... it should work but I haven't tested it in widescreen.
All that has changed is that the text should wrap to a smaller width and so it should also work for widescreen ...

Damn... 64 fixes in the patch but not the most important fix we wanna see... plus it breaks razer_s's handy fix :(

I wish that racer_s want to reveal more about his hard work so maybe more people can try making those patches.

It seems like the resoulution is 1440x900 but the menus and hud stays at 1024x768

No, but another strange thing, is, that some parts of the inventory say "take all" and "description" it hasn't translated right.

is it possible that there are some old .reg-files from the beta, wich mess up the new files?

Could be ... but I wouldn't have thought so ...

Does it do these odd things when you use a 4:3 res ?

BTW ... You mentioned that the HUD seemed to be still at 1024x768 ... it is normal for the HUD to just stretch ... (as it did in those TripleHead screenshots of mine) but your text should not be doing the things it is in those screenshots.
