The first link to a no CD site I could tolerate, as it wasn't actually a link as the last two letters were missing.

However:

NO DIRECT LINKS to any site providing cracked .exe files!

This might seem praetorian, but it keeps the WSGF safe from legal hassles.

Yikes..sorry.

You HAVE TO use the razor exe! It works only with that version.
1. Download the "razor" exe
2. start the game, set 640*480 resolution, quit
3. rename the nfsc.exe to speed2.exe
4. patch it as described above
5. start the game, the res will be ws AND AR correct

Thank you sooo much Pietrosz:-)
Who's the man?? Pietrosz is..hehe

This really works...Here is my my screenshots confirming it...

Before..

After..

So this is a -vert fix.

I think I'll just leave it stretched, thanks anyway.

If you leave it streched, it will be ugly :)
Just try it. The stretched mode is only 1024*768 for me. With uniws patcher you get true 1440*900 resolution(or bigger) It will look much better!

I've been playing it in 1280 960 which is actually a 4:3 (CRT) aspect ratio.

It doesn't look too bad stretched unless I'm comparing it to a non-stretched version I cannot really tell.

Chopping off a massive portion of the screen just doesn't sit well with me, I'd rather see everything.

The full game does not support widescreen, nore does it go above 1280x1024.

actually it goes above 1280x1024. your system might just be fubared.

and no, no single EA game supports REAL widescreen. the best you can ask is that it supports your native widescreen resolution and yes it'll be stretched.

it's better than lcd interpolation.

if you don't like that, don't buy anymore EA games. they don't listen to their customers and never will.
