Hi all, a good friend of mine (probably the biggest BR fan on Earth ) has developed a patch that allows you to run BloodRayne2 with FSAA and custom resolutions. I have tested the patch succesfully at 1920x1200 and the patch makes the game Hor+. It should work with Triplehead too, but we haven't tested it.

Scenery renders correctly, but objects (tables, doors, chairs, etc) do not draw correctly out of the 4:3 area. He believes it's because the game is hard-coded for non-WS resolutions, but is investigating the problem.

You can get the patch and detailed instructions on the Official Patch Page located at CooP DB (Cooperative Games Database), a new web site dedicated to cooperative game news, created by Spanish guys but with English sections too. Anyone registering at Coop DB will be welcome (I'm a moderator on those forums). The page is in Spanish but the BR2 patch section is in full English.

For questions and contact with the autor, please use the forum located at Coop DB.

Here are some screens in 1920x1200, 4xMSAA, 16xAF. I use mode 1, which zooms the x-axel, as using mode 2 gives artifacts on the edges as noted in the patch.

(note these are taken with Dark Rayne skin choosen, its one of the unlockable extras)

This is wonderful.

Well done!

Much better than the old hex hack. The hex hack cut off the menu's. This does not. Not to mention that this is much easier to do.

A new version is on its way. A parameter to set much higher resolution shadows is the main feature. I will post here when its done.

New version released available at CooP DB. This new version adds several video memory optimizations, more AA modes, & more AA compatibility options. It also should fix the problems that some users had with the pre-rendered videos of the game. It's a recommended update.

A new and much improved version has just been released. This new version adds custom shader programs to enhance the following
effects: wave pools, water & blood fields. These new shaders use
reflection, perlin refraction & bump mapping techniques. The configuration program includes a new 'benchmark tool' for your multi-core CPU. The shaders are written in D3D ASM, & they require VS 1.1 & PS 1.4.

More info, download and screenshots at CooP DB.

CooPDB seems dead, I don't suppose anyone kept a copy of the HD files?
