| Post subject: | Nvidia custom resolution on 4:3 television ? |
trying to force games into widescreen on a 4:3 TV that display max width of 1024 pixels. Trying to get custom res of 1024x640, which will get me 16:10 inside the 4:3 display. The method i used for custom res's on my LCD work just fine, but when i test my 1024x640 on my TV, it gives a 'Custom Test Mode Failed" error. I made sure the refresh rate is still 60hz but no luck. I have no clue about most of the advanced custom resolution options. Anyone have any ideas? |

Most television uses 50 Hz or something close to that. That is the Hz that PAL uses. For NTSC it is 60 Hz :wink: Wikipedia NTSC & PAL Dunno if it helps |

Naw, no refresh rate i tried worked.. even tried 30hz. No luck. |
