trying to force games into widescreen on a 4:3 TV that display max width of 1024 pixels.

Trying to get custom res of 1024x640, which will get me 16:10 inside the 4:3 display. The method i used for custom res's on my LCD work just fine, but when i test my 1024x640 on my TV, it gives a 'Custom Test Mode Failed" error.

I made sure the refresh rate is still 60hz but no luck. I have no clue about most of the advanced custom resolution options.

Anyone have any ideas?

Most television uses 50 Hz or something close to that. That is the Hz that PAL uses. For NTSC it is 60 Hz :wink:

Naw, no refresh rate i tried worked.. even tried 30hz. No luck.
