Hello folks,
I'm new in this forum and I hope I'm posting at the right place.
I have used successfully UniWS on Tiger Wood PGA Tour 08 with a resolution of 1920x1080. Works very fine and if you pop-up any menu windows they will also show properly. So, for TW08 the case is solved.
For TW06: Using UniWS will succeed in changing the resolution to 1920x1080, but you CANNOT USE ANY MENUS within the game, making it unplayable. The reason: the menu windows will appear much too big (probably in 800x600) which will cause the "OK" and "Cancel" buttons below not to appear. You are then stuck and must quit the game.
What I've tryed:
Chosing 1024x768 in the settings in the hope to get smaller menus will not work, the size remains the same and also the HD change will not be made.
Chosing a lower resolution to hack is superfluous because the in-game setting is already proposing me 1680x1050 as the maximum, yet of course not so good as the hacked 1920x1020;

Note: TW06 is much better than TW08 because it has fewer bugs, a lot of courses you can add etc. So, it's the the better version of the 2 and I'm interested to get it to run correctly on a 24 monitor.

I have also read carefully the article in http://widescreengamingforum.com/dr/tiger-woods-pga-tour-06, but it doesn't mention these troubles with the menu windows.
Is there any solution to this?

Thx very much,
XenonS

Sorry, the max default resolution for TW06 is 1280x1024, not 1680x1050.
I will try to play directly with the DXWrap.dll file, also looking at the values for NBA LIVE 2006. I'm afraid I will not find any values for the menu windows resolutions to change.

Me again,

after looking at the DXWrap.dll I don't think there are separate codes for the menu resolutions to change. So, there's no way to change the in-game menu sizes, they will remain constant when changing to HD.
This quirk will not show in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, nor in 08 because the devs have chosen to code the menus differently (fortunately!).
The lesson is: it's not enough to make sure a game can be modified to HD; you must also ensure that it will be playable afterwards!

Xenon, as you can check in the Detailed Report, there is a 16:10 in-game shot included, so one of the available solutions is certailnly working fine.
Have you tried to run the game in windowed mode ? The menu shouldnt be a problem then.
Also you can try some "No Scaling" option in the video drivers you're running.

Hi Thales,
thanks to answer. In the game there's no option to switch top Window Mode, so I will try with a program called D3DWindower-English which supports DX6/DX7/DX9 grafics to show in a window.
I have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650, but I didn'd find any scaling options (will look deeper at it).

P.S.
In the meantime, I found the solution to show the in-game videos when you start from Windows 7: one must go in Windows Compatibility and tick the 2-last slider. This should workaround with other games too.
