Hey people,
today I've wanted to give "The Passing" (new campaign for L4D2) a try, but the game crashes while loading.
Chosen resolution was 5232x1050 (bezel compensation). But I also tried 5040.

Then I tried it again at 1680 and it worked without crashing.
Then I tried to run chapter2 of "The Passing" at 5232x1050 pixels again and it worked, too. So there is obviously something wrong with chapter1, probably with the cutscene but I can't really tell.

Do you guys have the same problem? I don't have any further experience with L4D2 and eyefinity since the last time I played L4D2 I did not own this graphics card.
I can't really be bothered to play the game again without eyefinity.

I'm running at 5760x1080 with no issues.

I know that GTX480's were having crashes. My roommate's GTX480 kept crashing and he set paging files to low in the advanced video options. This fixed it for him.

I've slightly edited the thread title to not be so definitive as if at least one person can get it working, it can't be completely unsupported.

If more people with multi-monitors could test various wide and super wide resolutions in this new DLC (I believe it's free, so if you already own L4D2 fire it up and check it out) that would be appreciated! :onethumb

*whew* You scared me. My game wasn't launching at all and I thought The Passing had screwed my game completely... After playing around with it for about 15 minutes, I realized I had auto-updates turned off. I hadn't installed The Passing at all yet. I'll report back with my eyefinity results once the download finishes.

Only played it for a minute, but I can confirm that the passing was working for my bezel compesated eyefinity (5808x1080).

Not Eyefinity I know, however I tested this with SoftTH @ 5760x1080 and had no issues.

I played this a bit at 5760x1080 and it was perfect... updated and launched the game, all settings were the same as before..

my only complaint about L4D2 and eyefin is that when I am next to a wall, sometimes I can see through the wall because the FOV is so wide.. but it doesn't see what's on the other side, it just bank space... so indoors that can happen a lot so I have to not hug the walls all the time..
